We all know that the Golden Globes are one of the most prestigious awards for film and television, and usually, the nominees are the main focus, but let’s discuss the films and projects that were not acknowledged this year.

Lovecraft Country: We all know the impact that “Lovecraft Country” had within the Black community regarding representation, historical context, direction, and so many more aspects. The awards did not nominate lead actors Jurnee Smollett and Jonathan Majors, nor did they acknowledge creator and director Misha Green.

2. Da 5 Bloods: This Spike Lee joint had it all; drama, friendship, and history. This Netflix film did not receive a single nomination; whether it was Best Drama, Screenplay, Directors, or Actors, the film was excluded from all nominations.

3. I May Destroy You: This drama series brought the reality of what women go through after sexual assault did not acknowledge the Golden Globes, which left fans completely shocked.

4. Pose: This show shed a massive spotlight on Black Trans women's lives and their struggles told for real trans women who have lived through that experience. There have been many instances where the actresses on “Pose” have not been acknowledged, making people think they are really being accepted into these award spaces.
