Chloe Bailey from the dynamic due ChloexHalle endured a social media frenzy after posting dance videos and photos on her new solo Instagram.

The 22-year-old embracing her sensuality as a woman started a massive conversation on social media with those saying she was “doing too much” or “trying too hard to be sexy,” which caused the singer to address the backlash.

“I think for every woman out there, don’t change who you are to make society feel comfortable,” Bailey said on Instagram live.

The singer became emotional while discussing how this situation affected her tremendously.

“I just felt it was important to address this, so you guys get to know who I am on the inside. It’s tough for me to think of myself as a sexual being or an attractive being, quite frankly,” she said. “I’ve never seen myself in that light.”

Bailey became fully transparent about where she is with her self esteem and how recently this is the most confident she has felt in a while.

“During quarantine, I got really close to God. I’ve learned I don’t need outside attention, so you all seeing what I post is just me being me,” - Chloe Bailey

The standard Black women are held under has become even more unrealistic as time progresses. There has always been a massive confusion of why it seems like such an issue for Black women to be confident and embrace their sensuality.

Throughout the years, several Black women within the industry have been deemed “doing too much" online when in reality, this could be showing themselves in their most confident state.
